Software: GPUPI for CPU - 1B
Score: 22min 28sec 335ms
About: GPUPI for CPU - 1BGPUPI calculates the mathematical constant Pi in parallel by using the BPP formula and optimizing it for OpenCL capable devices like graphics cards and main processors. It's implemented with C++, STL and pure Win32 to avoid unnecessary dependencies. The result of the benchmark are exactly nine digits of pi in hexadecimal. So if you're calculating pi in 1B (1 billion) it will not output all digits like available serial calculations of Pi, but display only the nine digits after the billionth hexadecimal digit. This limitation is due to the nature of parallel implementations and the used Pi formula.

Part of the Skylake architecture, the Intel Core i5-6300U is a power-efficient mobile processor released in 2015. It has 2 cores and 4 threads, with a base clock speed of 2.4 GHz and can increase to 3.0 GHz with Turbo Boost.
Built with 14nm fabrication, the i5-6300U has a TDP of only 15W, making it ideal for ultrabook laptops that prioritize power efficiency. For graphics, the processor uses Intel HD Graphics 520, which is sufficient for 4K video playback and some light gaming.
In terms of performance, the i5-6300U is sufficient for everyday tasks such as browsing, office, and multimedia. However, compared to modern processors, its performance has started to lag, especially in multi-threaded tasks.
