About: AS-SSDWith AS SSD Benchmark you can determine your SSD drive's performance by conducting several specific tests. Test the sequential or random read/write performance without using the cache. AS SSD Benchmark reads/writes a 1 GByte file as well as randomly chosen 4K blocks. Additionally, it performs the tests using 1 or 64 threads and it determines the SSD's access time. Two extra benchmark tests examine the drive's behaviour when (1) copying a few big files, a lot of small files and a mixture of file sizes by using cached copy functions of your OS as well as (2) reading/writing data depending on the data's compressibility.
The Hitachi HTS722016K9SA00 is an HDD with a 160GB capacity and 2.5-inch size, designed for laptops and other portable applications. Unlike most laptop HDDs that operate at 5400 RPM, this model has a speed of 7200 RPM, providing faster read/write speeds than standard HDDs.
With 16MB of cache, this HDD offers better performance in handling heavier workloads, such as multitasking or applications with high I/O requirements. However, since its capacity is relatively small compared to today's standards, this HDD is more suitable for use as additional storage or for older systems that still use 2.5-inch HDDs.
