About Hardware IMG PowerVR Rogue GE8320 680MHz
The PowerVR GE8320 is Imagination Technologies' Rogue architecture-based integrated GPU embedded in the MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC. The GPU comes with two shader clusters and runs at a frequency of up to 680 MHz, delivering good power efficiency and sufficient performance for lightweight graphics needs in entry-level smartphones.
With support for modern graphics APIs such as OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.0, and OpenCL 1.2, the PowerVR GE8320 is capable of running a variety of multimedia applications and light games on Android devices. While not ideal for intensive 3D games or professional graphics applications, this GPU still provides a smooth user experience in everyday activities such as video playback, social media, browsing, and light multitasking.
This GPU is used in entry-level devices like the OPPO A5s and OPPO A15s, which feature 3/32GB and 4/64GB RAM and storage configurations, respectively. In a 30°C ambient temperature test using a DHT11 sensor, devices with this GPU showed fairly stable thermal performance. Using the OPPO A15s is more recommended for testing and using the latest apps due to its higher operating system support (Android 10), while some apps no longer support Android 8.
In synthetic testing, the PowerVR GE8320 recorded the following benchmark results:
- 3DMark Ice Storm: 10,470 points
- 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme: 404 points
- AnTuTu v9 (GPU score): 12,248 points
- Geekbench 4 Compute: 3,284 points
These benchmark results show that the PowerVR GE8320 is capable of handling basic graphics quite well, but it is not intended for heavy graphics workloads. This GPU is ideal for use in devices with HD screen resolutions that are focused on battery efficiency and a smooth daily usage experience.
Hardware Detail:
Device: OPPO A5s & OPPO A15s.
Device Specs: MediaTek MT6765, 3/32 (A5s), 4/64 (A15s), Android 8 (A5s), Android 10 (A15s).
Room Temperature: 30°C based on DHT11 Sensors.
* I use the OPPO A15s device as an addition to the Imagination PowerVR Rogue GE8320 680MHz hardware, because some applications do not support devices with Android 8 version

About Hardware Intel Iris Xe Graphics Mobile (80EUs, Raptor Lake)
Intel Iris Xe Graphics Mobile (80 EUs, Raptor Lake) is an integrated GPU found in the 13th Generation Intel Core processors (Raptor Lake) for laptops. Although it still retains the number of 80 Execution Units (EUs) like the previous version of Tiger Lake, this variant comes with a number of power efficiency improvements and more mature software optimizations. This GPU is able to provide quite good graphics performance for the ultrabook and lightweight laptop category, especially for productivity and multimedia needs.
Iris Xe Graphics Raptor Lake supports modern graphics standards such as DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, and Vulkan 1.3, which enables better performance in modern graphics-based applications. The hardware acceleration feature for 4K video encoding and decoding, including support for codecs such as HEVC and AV1, makes it very suitable for light video editing, high-quality media streaming, and online meetings that are increasingly common in the remote working era. In addition, compared to the Tiger Lake version, the Raptor Lake version has better clock speed stability, providing a more consistent usage experience over a long period of time.
While it's no match for discrete GPUs like the mid-range NVIDIA GeForce or AMD Radeon, the Iris Xe 80EUs Raptor Lake is powerful enough to run light games like Valorant, CS:GO, or Genshin Impact at low to medium settings. The GPU also supports the output of up to 3 simultaneous 4K monitors, making it an ideal choice for multitasking users who rely on multiple screens for work.
An example of a device that uses this GPU is the Acer Aspire 5 A515-58P, a daily productivity laptop with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM (non-upgradeable) and Windows 11 22H2 operating system. The combination of the Iris Xe Raptor Lake GPU and LPDDR5 RAM makes it an efficient solution for office work, online learning, and daily entertainment consumption.
Overall, Intel Iris Xe Graphics 80EUs (Raptor Lake) offers solid integrated graphics performance in its class with efficiency and stability advantages. For modern laptop users who do not need a discrete GPU, Iris Xe can be an adequate choice for daily life in today's digital world.
